Due to its location amongst heritage-listed buildings, special provision was required from building owners and the heritage building council to install cable brackets for the suspension stainless-steel wires.
In addition, with busy pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the laneway during normal business hours, all installation work needed to be conducted in the evenings requiring full road closure.
The interchangeable and programmable lanterns were designed and supplied by Coffs Harbour based Planet Lighting.
Supporting the widest opening at the southern end of Burnett Lane, Sprott’s Stainless Steel in Gympie supplied specially fabricated out-reach arms.
Arcus Wire Group has delivered a wide range of solutions for suspension projects across Australia including lighting and bespoke art installations at Wollongong Mall in New South Wales, Chinatown in South Australia, Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania and Curtin University in Western Australia.
